Her senior introduced to her through a local marriage broker, Do Thi My Tien was optimistic she could create a comfortable life for herself abroad when she agreed to marry a foreign man 20 years.

Tien married Lee Geun-sik, a South Korean, and traveled some sort of far from her small town in Tay Ninh, a province 100 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. In 2005, the newlyweds settled straight down in Southern Jeolla Province into the southwestern part associated with the country.
